Education/qualification
At the age of 6, he was admitted to Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Primary School. After that his brother sent him to a monastery run under the Ramakrishna Mission for studies. Which is also known as Ramakrishna Mission Math.Along with his studies there, he also got knowledge about Indian culture and Vedas. After 6th class, he got admission in Acharya Public Pathshala School. He has done Madras Film Institute course. He knows Marathi, Kannada and Tamil languages.
Career
When he was admitted to Acharya Public School. There he acted in many school plays. Due to which his interest in theater increased further. So he thought of making his career in films. But since then the condition of his house kept getting worse.To improve his household condition, he did many small jobs in Bangalore and Madras. Which also included the work of carpenter and porter. At that time there was a vacancy of conductor in Bangalore Transport and he qualified in it.Then he started working as a conductor. Due to which the condition of his family started improving. Now he was separated from the world of theatre. But he did not leave acting. He used to act in the bus. Due to which he started becoming famous among the people.
While he was working as a conductor, he saw the advertisement of Madras Film Institute in a newspaper and thought of going there. He told this at home. But due to lack of money at home, his family members did not support him. But his friend Raj Bahadur, who worked with him, saw his madness towards acting.Therefore, his friend helped him fully in paying the fees in Madras Institute. After that he left the job of conductor and took admission in Madras Institute. He used to go from place to place doing small acting jobs for money. Once when he was doing a drama in the institute.Then famous director K Bala Chandra noticed him. Famous director K Bala Chandra was very impressed by Rajni Kant’s acting. He chose Rajinikanth for his film there. After that, in 1975, he played the role of a villain in K Bala Chandra’s film Apoorva Ragangal.After that film people started recognizing him. After this his next film Katha Sangam came. After these films, due to his hard work and acting, he became a superstar of Tamil films.
